Young Women’s Christian Council (YWCC)
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation in charity, in Spirit, in faith, in purity.” – I Timothy 4:12
The Young Women’s Christian Council is an organization of young women ages 18-40, married or single, whose prime purpose is to dedicate themselves to greater Christian service.
In addition to spiritual growth and development, the YWCC is designed to strengthen and promote church growth by ministering to the specific needs of young women. The YWCC is designed to be an asset to both the church and the pastor.
Although the YWCC serves women aged 18-40, it includes the fellowship and instruction of mature women and mothers who serve as teachers and counsel mothers for this ministry.
The YWCC Pledge
As a unit in the greatest church on earth, The Church of God in Christ: We stand united.
As the daughters and followers of the greatest women on earth, the Holy Women of the Church of God in Christ: We stand united.
In the dearest state of the union to us: We stand united.
In our efforts to win souls to Christ, lift fallen humanity, strengthen the weak, encourage the discouraged, and to keep ourselves unspotted from the world: We, the Young Women’s Christian Council, stand united.
